About

The National Men’s Health Gathering is organised by the Australian Men’s Health Forum, the peak body for men’s health in Australia.

The 2025 Gathering at the Brisbane Showgrounds in October marks the 30th Anniversary of the Gathering and the first in-person national conference for men’s health since the COVID-19 pandemic.

This milestone moment combines the 13th National Men’s Health Conference and the 10th Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Male Health Convention.

It is a unique opportunity to unite a broad range of stakeholders in men’s health, including policymakers, academics, health professionals and representatives from community and voluntary sectors with a shared commitment to improve the health and well-being of men and boys across Australia.

The 2025 Gathering is a vital platform for collaboration, innovation, and action where we will:

  • Share ground-breaking research, initiatives, and strategies.

  • Foster collaboration between health professionals, community groups, and policymakers.

  • Highlight the importance of culturally sensitive health solutions, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men.

The Gathering explores research and best practice, with a focus on men’s mental health, male suicide prevention, fatherhood, family relationships, men’s social connections and work with priority populations of men.

The three-day program includes keynote and concurrent sessions, welcome reception, and conference dinner in an environment conducive to connecting and sharing experiences of working with men and boys.

We hope to see you there!
